Uniform Guidelines

All
National Federation guidelines of Rule 4-3 governing uniforms and jewelry
will be enforced for all events in section and state competition,
including the following: 1.
The
competitor’s uniform shall be issued by the school and worn as intended by
the manufacturer. 2.
Each
competitor shall wear a track top or one-piece uniform and a track bottom
or one-piece uniform—all issued by the school.
3.
The track top or one-piece uniform must have a
school identification. 4.
Bare
midriff tops are not allowed. 5.
The
top must hang below or be tucked into the waistband of the bottom when the
competitor is standing erect. Tops designed to tuck in must be tucked in
during competition. 6.
The
waistband of a competitor’s bottom shall be worn above the
hips. 7.
Shorts
must be worn over body suits. 8.
Any
visible top(s) worn under the uniform must be unadorned (except for the
manufacturer’s logo) and a single color. 9.
In
relay races, each team member shall wear the same color and design of
school uniform although the length of the bottom or one-piece uniform may
vary. Any visible garments worn under the top or bottom shall be a single
color and the same color as those worn by other members of the relay team.
Visible garments may vary in length. 10.
School-issued
uniform T-shirts are permissible. 11.
No
head attire is permitted except in the pole vault event where a protective
helmet may be worn. 12.
A
single wrist watch may be worn during
competition 13.
Jewelry
is not permitted with the exception of religious or medical medals. Such
medals must be taped to the body, but medical medals may be
visible. 14.
A
participant is restricted from wearing any item excess of the traditional
school-issued uniform required by Rule 4-3. |
